Lots of students start university after the age of 21. Many study while working or raising a family. Universities value the maturity, motivation and real-world experience you bring.

Do I need qualifications?

Not always. Many courses accept work and life experience instead of A-levels, sometimes alongside an interview or a short written task. A foundation year is another good way in.

Can I fit it around work and family?

Yes. Many of the courses we work with run 2 to 3 days a week, in the evenings, at weekends or as blended learning that mixes campus and online study.

What about money?

There's no upper age limit for tuition fee loans. If you're eligible, you can also get a maintenance loan, plus extra help such as childcare grants if you have children.

Will I fit in?

Classes on flexible courses are often full of people like you: parents, career changers and people who missed out the first time round. You'll find support from tutors and classmates alike.
